Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund for Adults - Awardees Jan 2025

Along with other Third Sector Interface’s throughout Scotland, Voluntary Action Shetland distributed a 4th year of the Scottish Government Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund for Adults to support community activity until March 2026. Shetland’s allocation for year 4 totalled £71,944.

Willin Haands and Peerie Trows Volunteering Award Recipients announced

VAS are delighted to announce the recipients of our annual Volunteering Awards. 76 adults and one group received the ‘Willin Haands Award’ for outstanding volunteering in their communities and 24 children aged 11 or under received a ‘Peerie Trows Award’ for their volunteering efforts.

New Defibrillator at Market House

Voluntary Action Shetland (VAS) would like to promote to the residents of Shetland that they now have a defibrillator installed at Market House. VAS obtained funding from the Shetland Community Benefit Fund to purchase the equipment which has been installed at the side of Market House.
