Trustees’ Week is a time for us to come together to celebrate the achievements of trustees across Scotland and the rest of the UK and the role they have in governing charities. Thank you for the time, commitment and effort you bring to your charities to help them thrive!
As part of Trustee’s Week, Voluntary Action Shetland are delighted to announce a special event for Trustees which will look at changes to charity law and the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) Trustees Annual Report (TAR). An informal event, it will also offer trustees a chance to network and learn from other trustees.

During Trustee’s Week, Voluntary Action Shetland will also showcase the work of #ShetlandTrustees on our social media. Look out for some of our amazing trustees.
“I became a trustee for OPEN because ever since I can remember I’ve wanted to help people and this is my way of doing that… When you think of a board you think of older, more experienced people but young people are just as valuable. Young minds are the future and should be utilised. This is why I want to use this opportunity to amplify the voices of young people.” Emma, Chair, OPEN
“All the Trustees are committed to playing a part in keeping this valuable service running for the people of Shetland. When everyone does a little bit then it’s never too much on any one individual. I think it’s really important to promote the benefits of having bereavement support if you need it. We are very fortunate to have this specialist support available in Shetland, and I am proud to be part of such a valuable service.” Rita Rendall, Vice Chair, Shetland Bereavement Support Service
