The New Shetlander, reputedly Scotland's oldest literary magazine, is published quarterly by Voluntary Action Shetland.

Voar Issue: Deadline for submissions Monday 28th February 2022. Publication Friday 15th April 2022

Simmer Issue: Deadline for submissions Monday 13th June. Publication Friday 29th July 2022

Yule Issue: Deadline for submissions Monday 10th October. Publication Friday 25th November 2022

We welcome contributions of prose and poetry with a Shetland interest: all will be considered for publication. These may be submitted electronically to vas@shetland.org

Copies are available from Voluntary Action Shetland and at shops throughout Shetland, or may be bought online if available.
