Course for voluntary groups to improve their recording of income and expenditure, holding of account information and doing financial planning.

This course is designed for voluntary/community groups.

Treasurer role & responsibilities
Recording income and expenditure
Recording petty cash
Reconciling the books with the bank statement
Keeping files, receipts and forms
Presenting financial information

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the course participants will:

Understand the role & responsibilities of the treasurer
Be confident to keep a basic book-keeping system
Be confident to produce a basic income and expenditure sheet
Have raised awareness of financial jargon

The course is delivered in such a way as to give the participants the opportunity to practice the knowledge they have gained.
