Voluntary Action Shetland (VAS) would like to promote to the residents of Shetland that they now have a defibrillator installed at Market House. VAS obtained funding from the Shetland Community Benefit Fund to purchase the equipment which has been installed at the side of Market House.
Along with other Third Sector Interface’s throughout Scotland, Voluntary Action Shetland distributed a third year of the Scottish Government Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund for Adults to support community activity until March 2025. Shetland’s allocation totalled £71,810.

67 young volunteers aged between 12 and 25 were celebrated at the Shetland Saltire Youth Volunteering Awards ceremony at Mareel on Monday evening (6th June 2022). It was the first in-person ceremony of the annual event since 2019. 67 young people received a total of 125 awards this year.
